Study Shows Placenta Encapsulation Does No Harm To Babies
Recent research was published from UNLV and Oregon State. Basically, it states that properly prepared placenta encapsulation does no harm to baby. You can read the research here.
- The study found the following:
- Nearly 1/3 of women encapsulated their placenta. (Way to go moms!)
- 86% consumed their placenta in encapsulated form
- 49% of those were dehydrated only.
- The most common reason (59%) for encapsulating was to avoid postpartum depression.
- No neonatal adverse outcomes were noted.
This is amazing for research to show what we already knew! If you would like to discuss this study with me or have any questions about encapsulation please shot me an email.
