Placenta Salve…..What is it?

One of the add ons I offer is Placenta Salve.

Placenta Salve is made with my salve base and has dried placenta added to it.

It’s great for skin irritations, dry skin, perineal or c-section scarring once healed.

Placentophagy was not associated with any adverse neonatal outcomes according to research done by Oregon State University and UNLV.

Placenta encapsulation when done properly is safe. If your care provider tells you otherwise please share with them this study. I have no doubt that if your provider tells you this it is because they are concerned. However, the truth is most providers have not researched encapsulation themselves and are not kept up to date on the latest research.

A very small portion of clients report (about 1%) experiencing negative effects with encapsulation including headaches and mood swings. Usually a usage adjustment fixes that.

Heather turns a service into an experience. She encapsulated my placenta for my daughter 2 years ago and I already received my capsules from my son who was born 4 days ago. She creates and sends beautiful keepsakes in addition to your capsules, as well as a whole care package that is so beautifully packaged. I felt that the capsules really helped me in postpartum with my first and I assume it will be the same this time. She picks up your placenta directly from the hospital and does everything in a timely manner. She was even able to accommodate me when I reached out to her 3 days prior to my scheduled C-section. If you plan to have your placenta encapsulated in the Philadelphia area I could not recommend Heather's services more.
