Bucks County, Philadelphia and Montgomery County……

I often get asked what areas I serve the most for placenta encapsulation and which hospitals.  

To date most of my clients are in Bucks County, Philadelphia, and Montgomery County.   In that order.

Most of my clients have hospital births.     I have not had any issues with any of the area hospitals with them releasing placentas.   

The hospitals with the most clients are Abington Hospital, Einstein and Pennsylvania Hospital in that order.   Although I’m pretty sure I have had at least one client in each of the area hospitals.

Another related question I get is how to make sure you get your placenta and how to keep it while at the hospital.      I tell my clients to speak with their provider ahead of time to give them a heads up.   You don’t need to tell them you plan on encapsulating if you are not comfortable with that but just let them know you want to bring it home.    Then at the hospital it’s a good idea to let the nurse in charge know your plans. If you have a birth plan add it to that also.

Some hospitals provide a container to package your placenta in but just in case they don’t I tell my clients to bring a 1 gallon zip lock bag or a 7 cup disposable container with a lid.    You will also want to bring a cooler and fill it at the hospital with ice.
